About the role
Our client is looking for a President, Industrial Equipment Distribution to oversee the strategic and commercial performance of an established equipment distribution business. This role will provide leadership across revenue growth, vendor relationships, financial performance, customer retention, and team development.
This position is suited to a senior leader who understands industrial, construction, or building equipment markets and can guide a business through profitable growth. The successful candidate will be able to balance strategy with hands-on leadership and work closely with ownership or senior executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall business performance across distribution, customer relationships, vendor partnerships, and financial results.
- Develop and execute growth plans for industrial equipment sales, service, and related revenue streams.
- Manage profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and channel partners.
- Oversee leadership teams responsible for sales, service, warehouse, administration, and customer support.
- Identify new market opportunities, product lines, and process improvements.
- Report business performance, risks, opportunities, and financial results to ownership or executive leadership.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of senior leadership experience in industrial equipment, construction equipment, building products, distribution, or a similar industry.
Proven experience managing revenue, profitability, budgets, and business performance.
Strong commercial leadership background with customer, supplier, and vendor relationship experience.
Experience leading managers or department heads across multiple functions.
Strong understanding of equipment distribution, inventory, service support, and customer expectations.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, management, or a related field preferred.
