About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially astute professional with 10+ years of experience managing the cost and commercial aspects of major construction projects, with a strong background in hospitality and mixed-use developments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates.
- Manage project budgets and monitor MEP costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and manage procurement processes.
- Administer contracts, variations, progress valuations, and final accounts.
- Prepare regular commercial reports and cost forecasts.
- Identify commercial risks and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Support successful project delivery while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years' experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor.
- Proven experience delivering hospitality (hotels/resorts) and mixed-use construction projects.
- Strong expertise in MEP quantity take-offs, cost planning, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, variations, valuations, and final accounts.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying/estimating software (CostX, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
