About the role
Kickmaker is looking for a Mechatronic Assembly Engineer to join its San Francisco team. This role is designed for a junior-level engineer with a mechanical background and a first experience in a robotics environment. The position is based in San Francisco relocation is required for candidates based outside the area.
Your responsibilities
- Assemble and integrate mechatronic systems combining mechanical and electronic components
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings to build prototypes and assemblies
- Contribute to concept prototyping and validation alongside project teams
- Support the programming and integration of embedded boards such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and STM32
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electronics, software) in a fast-paced project environment
What we're looking for
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Junior profiles welcome a first experience in robotics or industrial automation is a strong plus
- Comfortable with mechanical design, ideally in SolidWorks
- Curiosity for embedded development (C, Python) hands-on exposure to microcontrollers is a plus, not a requirement
- Detail-oriented, hands-on mindset and a team-first attitude
- Open to relocating to San Francisco
