Job Description:
We are seeking a Principal Big Data Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems. In this role, you will support complex, multifaceted software systems—such as data-intensive analytics platforms, advanced algorithmic solutions, large-scale data processing environments, real-time applications, and business information systems—based on defined and documented requirements. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience building robust back-end services for big data applications and be comfortable working in a Linux/Ubuntu environment. Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
- A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science or a related field and twelve (12) years or relevant experience is required. In lieu of a degree, sixteen (16) years of relevant experience is acceptable.
- Experience working within AWS cloud environments, particularly with big data services and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience developing front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience developing back-end applications using Python and/or Java.
- Experience developing applications within tiered or distributed architectures.
- Experience with JavaScript libraries or frameworks such as Vue.js, PrimeVue, or equivalent technologies (e.g., React or Angular).
- Experience working in Linux/Ubuntu environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile development environment.
