About the role
- Design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems and associated software.
- Support in performing advanced database administration tasks, including performance tuning, capacity planning, and database optimization.
- Develop and enforce database security policies and procedures, ensuring data privacy and compliance.
- Lead database-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related initiatives.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity, including high availability and disaster recovery.
- Analyze and resolve complex database issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Stay updated with emerging database technologies and industry best practices.
- Create and maintain database documentation and standards.
Requirements
- Atleast 4-5 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on a specific DBMS (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
- Well versed in SQL Server Performance tuning & troubleshooting using DMVS, Extended Events, Profiling, Wait Statistics etc.
- Good understanding of the database underlying infrastructure such as Storage, Networking components and Server Hardware
- Self-motivated, quick learner and a responsive team player with ability to work under pressure and deliver quality outcomes.
- Excellent written/oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivale.
