We’re looking for a Backend Software Engineer with a strong background in AI + real-time audio to join our engineering team in China. You will play a key role in building and optimizing communication features that power high-quality, low-latency conversations for our global customers.

Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and optimize real-time audio/video streaming services.
  • Work with protocols such as WebRTC, SIP, RTP, or related technologies.
  • Ensure high performance, low latency, and fault-tolerant communication pipelines.
  • Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable backend code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to media services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2–4 years of backend development experience, ideally in real-time communications (RTC).
  • Proficiency in Go or Python.
  • Experience with audio/video codecs, streaming protocols, and media servers.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and distributed systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with WebRTC-based platforms.
  • Experience with AI agents and voice LLM
  • Knowledge of scaling media services for large user bases.
  • Contributions to open-source RTC projects.
