About The Role

Makers Fund is a global interactive entertainment industry venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments. We are looking for a Fund Accountant to be based in Singapore.

The Fund Accountant will be working closely with our operation teams and reporting directly to the Senior Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare timely and accurate NAV reports, management accounts and other fund accounting reports.
  • Record accurately the accounting journal entries for both the Fund and Investment Management Companies in different jurisdictions.
  • Review capital distribution notices, NAV reports prepared by the fund administrator, and reconcile with internal records.
  • Identify exceptions and quality check accounting records.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, annual financial statements, regulatory reports, tax returns and/or other required deliverables.
  • Process payments and input/review reimbursements.
  • Others ad-hoc assignments including opening bank accounts, preparing management reports.

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar financial focus preferred
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in fund or corporation accounting; prior fund accounting experience is highly advantageous.
  • Ideally hold an ACCA, CPA or equivalent certification
  • Experience in handling Singapore MAS quarterly & annual returns and IRAS tax filing (e.g. Form C, ECI and GST) preferred.
  • Willing to learn and take new challenge in a fast-moving environment
  • Responsive, attention to details with organizational and analytical skills
  • Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
