Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Controller to support the company’s global accounting operations. This role provides oversight of the general ledger, drives monthly and quarterly closing activities, and prepares internal financial statements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams —FP&A, Operations, and Revenue— to assist with consolidations, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and internal controls, while contributing directly to process standardization appropriate for a SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Payroll: Manage operations across multiple platforms including JustWorks, Remote.com/EOR, Deel, CONTPAQi, BVG/Swiss pension, and 1099s.

  • Treasury & Cash: Provide bank reconciliation oversight, manage FX (USD/MXN/CHF), perform Ramp/credit card reviews, and handle intercompany wires.

  • Month-End Close: Execute comprehensive month-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany eliminations.

  • Multinational Compliance: Maintain compliance across Swiss AHV/BVG and Mexico SAT/CFDI; manage intercompany loans and support audit PBCs.

  • Systems & Automation: Support audits and help implement, optimize, and standardize financial systems and processes, including revenue recognition, subscription billing, and deferred revenue tracking.

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Prior experience in an Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role, preferably within a technology, SaaS, or high-growth company.

  • Strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting, including general ledger management, month-end close, and financial statement preparation under relevant standards (US GAAP or IFRS).

  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets and financial analysis tools, with a dedicated focus on SQL, PowerQuery, and Python abilities to manipulate data and drive process efficiency.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, able to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders.

Nice-to-have

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or local equivalent) or progress toward certification.

  • Practical technical experience or awareness of PowerBI, Power Automate, Zapier, and n8n.

Why Join?

  • Flexible work hours and hybrid work options (combining on-site collaboration with the flexibility to work from home part of the week).

  • Professional development opportunities in a modern, automated financial operations environment.
