Position: Personal Injury Attorney
Pay Range: $100,000 to $125,000
Performance Based Bonus: Bonuses tied to performance

Position Overview

Johnson Law Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our Chicago office. This role is well-suited for an attorney with 5 to 7 years of plaintiff-side personal injury experience who is comfortable managing cases independently while working within a structured, team-oriented environment. The position involves handling matters from intake through resolution while providing exceptional client advocacy throughout the litigation process.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases from inception through settlement or trial
• Evaluate claims, assess liability and damages, and develop case strategy
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and factual analysis related to personal injury matters
• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, experts, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
• Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations and hearings
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for favorable resolutions on behalf of clients
• Prepare cases for trial and represent clients in court as required
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the firm’s case management system

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Active and good standing membership with the Illinois State Bar
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of personal injury litigation experience (plaintiff-side preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
• Commitment to client service and professional excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling depositions, mediations, and hearings
• Trial experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual proficiency preferred but not required
