About the job
Sertis is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to be embedded at one of our enterprise client sites. You'll be the one connecting the dots between business needs and technology; designing architectures that are scalable, secure, and built to last across complex, high-volume platforms.
This is a senior-level role best suited for someone who's equally comfortable whiteboarding with engineers and presenting roadmaps to stakeholders.
In this role, you will get to:
- Own end-to-end architecture design for large-scale enterprise platforms and define the technical roadmap and standards to go with it
- Lead design reviews, technical governance, and guide dev teams on architecture decisions, integration patterns, and tech selection
- Champion modern approaches of microservices, event-driven systems, cloud-native and help teams actually adopt them
- Collaborate across product, engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to keep technology aligned with where the organisation is heading
You’ll be successful if you have:
- more than 7 years in software engineering or solution/system architecture roles
- Solid hands-on experience with microservices, distributed systems, API design, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native development practices
- Experience with event-driven architecture, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and enterprise integration
- The ability to communicate complex architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or Azure Solutions Architect are a bonus
