Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Plumber to join our commercial mechanical construction team. This role provides hands-on training and career development under the supervision of experienced Journeyman and Master Plumbers on large-scale commercial projects, including schools, hospitals, office buildings, and industrial facilities. All applicants must possess a current Texas Plumbing Apprentice License at the time of application.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation of plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, natural gas, and vent piping.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping and plumbing components according to project requirements.
Assist with underground rough-in, above-ground rough-in, fixture installation, and final trim-out activities.
Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and job site requirements.
Attend apprenticeship training and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Work closely with supervisors and team members while demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop trade skills.
Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
Required Qualifications
Current Texas Plumbing Apprentice License required.
Minimum of 3 years of commercial plumbing construction experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Strong work ethic with a desire to build a long-term career in the plumbing trade.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Reliable transportation to travel to various job sites as needed.
Ability to pass pre-employment screening and maintain job site access requirements.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more with assistance when needed.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods.
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and on active construction sites.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
