About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and technically competent Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our Fixed Gas Detection Systems business in Greece and selected international markets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market growth targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, EPC contractors, consultants, distributors, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Develop and manage distributor and partner networks.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Conduct customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
Technical Support
- Provide technical guidance on fixed gas detection solutions and applications.
- Explain system design, installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting requirements to customers.
- Support integration of gas detection systems with plant control and monitoring systems.
- Conduct technical training sessions for customers, distributors, and partners.
Customer & Market Development
- Promote company products at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows.
- Support marketing initiatives and lead generation activities.
- Develop long-term relationships with strategic accounts and key decision-makers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Chemistry
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales of Fixed Gas Detection Systems, industrial safety equipment, instrumentation, or related industrial products.
- Experience working with industries such as Marine, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Power Generation, Manufacturing, or Mining.
- Good understanding of gas detection principles and sensor technologies (Electrochemical, Infrared, Catalytic Bead, PID).
- Familiarity with international safety standards such as ATEX, IECEx, UL, MED, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, HART, and 4–20mA.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to conduct technical training and product demonstrations.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
