SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, deploy, and maintain critical business applications.
• Ability to provide guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact and costs vs. benefits.
• Build, install and configure solutions. Implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, assist with all stages of test data, develop interface stubs and simulators and perform script maintenance and updates.
• Troubleshoot problems, involving the appropriate resources and driving resolution of issues with a focus on minimising impact to customers.
• Implement integrations requested by customers.
• Deploy updates and fixes.
• Provide Level 2 technical support.
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Develop scripts to automate visualisation.
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent experience in Cloud Technologies - AWS
• Strong hands-on experience at least in one scripting language (PowerShell, Python).
• Good knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of databases.
• An understanding and some experience of network administration, DNS, firewall maintenance and security.
• Significant systems administration experience in a Unix/ Linux environment
• Good understanding of software quality assurance.
• An understanding of continuous integration/delivery principles and working knowledge of automated software delivery workflows.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and technical documentation.
• Problem-solving attitude.
