Gotion Inc. is based in Silicon Valley, CA, currently building a Manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL and has R&D centers in Ohio, China, Japan and Europe. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the construction of our new brownfield EV battery manufacturing plant from start to finish in Kankakee County, Illinois.
- Develop and implement a construction plan that ensures the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Oversee all aspects of construction, including site preparation, foundation work, building construction, and installation of equipment, including the shipment and installation of manufacturing machinery.
- Ensure that all safety and environmental regulations are met.
- Manage the project budget and track expenses.
- Communicate regularly with the Chief Engineer and other senior management on the progress of the project.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent in Mandarin/Chinese, ideally Native.
- 10+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years of experience on large, complex projects.
- Experience working with brownfield or greenfield sites is a plus.
- Knowledge of Automotive Regulations, EV Batteries or Energy or Complex Site Construction is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement project plans, track progress, and manage budgets.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 - $200,000 + 20% bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range. This provides you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and advance your career at Gotion. The base pay range for this role is shown below, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, and location.
