Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Mid-weight Graphic Designer to join their creative team. This opportunity is suited to a detail-oriented designer with strong technical expertise and a deep appreciation for print as a craft. The successful candidate will be involved in the full design process, from initial concept through to final execution. 

The role focuses on the development of large-scale brand campaigns, packaging, and printed communication materials. The designer will collaborate closely with the Head of Design and a multidisciplinary team to deliver work that reflects a refined and consistent brand aesthetic. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop considered, brand-aligned design concepts for campaigns, packaging, and print collateral. 
  •  Produce accurate, press-ready artwork, ensuring high standards in colour, layout, and finishing. 
  • Collaborate with internal design and brand teams to execute cohesive visual solutions. 
  • Apply and uphold the client’s visual identity across all design outputs. 
  • Balance creative thinking with technical precision, delivering quality work within deadlines. 
  • Work alongside photographers, stylists, and copywriters to create integrated visual narratives. 
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the brand’s visual language. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional graphic design experience, with a strong focus on print. 
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field. 
  • Solid understanding of print production, typography, colour theory, and layout principles. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Strong conceptual ability with an appreciation for clean, refined design.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills. 
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and finishing. 
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant design work is required.
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English. 
  • Exposure to AI design tools (e.g. DALL·E, Midjourney, Runway ML, Luminar Neo, Designify) will be advantageous.

Working Conditions 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (on-site) 

Location: Franschhoek
