Softeta is looking for a hands-on QA Engineer who thrives in backend-heavy environments and takes ownership of end-to-end quality. If you enjoy digging into APIs, databases, and complex system flows rather than clicking through UIs — this role is for you.

What you'll do

• Design and execute manual end-to-end test scenarios covering full system flows — from backend services and APIs through to data layer validation.
• Perform thorough backend and API testing using Postman, verifying request/response behavior, data integrity, error handling, and edge cases.
• Analyse business requirements and system specifications to build structured, reusable test cases and test suites.
• Log, prioritise, and track defects in JIRA, collaborating closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Contribute to improving QA documentation and testing processes in Confluence.

Requirements

• 3+ years of manual QA experience with a clear focus on backend or system-level testing;
• Solid hands-on experience with API testing tools — Postman or Swagger knowledge is a must;
• Confident working with SQL — able to write queries to inspect and validate data in relational databases.
• Strong grasp of end-to-end testing principles and the ability to trace issues across system boundaries.
• Systematic approach to test case design, defect documentation, and root cause analysis.
• Comfortable working without a polished UI to guide you — you read specs, explore APIs, and build test coverage from the ground up.
