Digital manager

Position: Digital manager within a client digital delivery team, working on a regional hub client team of WPP Media in the office in Belgrade.

Your goal is to ensure the quality and profitability of the service on the assigned account(s) through managing day to day media planning activities and client relationships and to contribute to growth of the business on the account.  Distributes assigned client requests to market teams and collates and reviews deliverables from them.

Success is measured by media KPIs agreed with client, budget optimisation and delivering commitments, client satisfaction survey, growth of business on the account, team performance and development.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to Digital account director, and works directly with Account Managers, Account executives and digital activation teams.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Client Relationship: maintain strong relationship with client, by communicating daily and providing expert advice on all media related questions; ensure deliverables are sent to client timely
  • Campaign Planning and Buying: propose objectives and KPIs for strategy based on researched consumer insights, trends and business objectives
  • Campaign Implementation: ensure delivery excellence against agreed KPIs through planning specialists; negotiate with Investment and media vendors to ensure set financial efficiencies are met; serve as a point for escalation and buffer for complex issues for the team
  • Campaign Reporting: deliver analytical reporting; develop and propose insights and learnings for

campaign optimisation

  • Revenues: track budget spend as per parameters agreed with client and Investment and report to AD
  • Sales to existing clients: spot opportunities to offer additional products and services to clients and bring them to AD’s attention
  • New Business: participate in pitches
  • Compliance: adhere to WPP and WPP Media standards and promote compliance-awareness with team members
  • Billing: oversee the delivery of established billing process for their clients
  • Leadership and management: demonstrate values and competencies, lead team members and systematically organise workload segments to achieve great results
  • Performance management: set goals, track progress, run performance conversations, provide feedback
  • Development: develop self and others by participating in determining development needs, by learning, sharing knowledge and coaching team-members

What you will need:

  • Experience and ability to understand various digital channels and platforms - such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Marketing Platform, Facebook Business Manager
  • Ability to work in English – across multiple parties in EMEA region (clients, central teams, support, etc.)
  • Ability to work in Excel
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a team player mentality
  • A thirst to learn, curiosity – be that the client’s business, people, brands, industry, trends etc
  • An ability to prioritise and delegate, as well as manage both up and down
  • Empathetic and self-aware mindset
  • Positive, proactive, collaborative approach to problem solving, calm under pressure
  • Accurate verbal and written feedback and instructions
  • Enjoy presenting, story-telling, and influencing others
  • Data & Content literate - able to simplify the potentially complicated into a clear opportunity
  • A min experience of 3 years within digital advertising

Experience in a media agency is a plus, as well as experience with various ad servers.
