We're on a mission to redefine the customer experience, and we need a passionate Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer to join our Staff Augmentation team in ACT.

The Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, administration, and optimisation of enterprise storage infrastructure within a large and complex ICT environment. The role supports the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-performing storage and backup services while contributing to the ongoing evolution of the department's infrastructure platforms. This position also provides technical leadership, documentation, and mentoring to support operational excellence.

This is an initial 12 month contract with likelihood of extension.

Requirements

What you'll do:

• Design, deploy, configure, administer, and optimise enterprise storage infrastructure.
• Manage physical and virtual storage platforms, including Storage Area Networks (SAN).
• Configure and maintain SAN switches and associated storage networking technologies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve storage infrastructure issues to ensure system performance and availability.
• Support backup and recovery capabilities, including Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, including solution designs, build guides, operational procedures, and handover documentation.
• Research and evaluate emerging storage technologies to support future infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and operational teams to deliver secure and resilient ICT services.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers within the team.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call support as required.

What you'll bring:

• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise storage infrastructure in large, complex ICT environments.
• Strong experience with one or more of the following technologies:

• HPE 3PAR, Primera, or Alletra Storage Systems
• NetApp E-Series
• Dell Data Domain
• Brocade/Broadcom Fibre Channel SAN Switches
• SANnav
• Scality Artesca
• Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation, including design, build, and operational documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across storage and SAN environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Experience presenting technical concepts and mentoring junior team members.
• Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain or hold a Baseline Security Clearance.
• Ability to work primarily onsite in Canberra (ACT), with participation in an after-hours on-call roster desirable.
