About the role

The Service Engineer role is required to carry out field-based engineering tasks, break / fix / preventative service works at customer locations, ranging from secure premises, banking facilities, government buildings and retail outlets to commercial properties.  This role will demonstrate exemplary levels of customer service, with a commitment to a first time-fix culture to ensure the customer enjoys the best possible service experience from Gunnebo Entrance Control to encourage potential for enhanced and repeat business. As well as being able to provide effective technical support, Service Engineers need to be flexible and have great customer service and communication skills.

What you will do:

  •   Service Delivery:
  •   Perform on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance of equipment/products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Ensure timely and quality service delivery
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide phone and email support to customers
  • Assist in resolving technical queries and issues
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities
  • Update customer databases and documentation
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell services
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work with other service engineers and teams to share knowledge and best practices

Requirements

What you need to have:

·        Technical knowledge of equipment/products

·        Knowledge on Project Management & Service Management

·        Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

·        Excellent communication and customer service skills

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·        Time management and organizational skills

. Relevant industry certifications or training

·        Bachelor's degree / Diploma in a related field (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumental or Mechatronics

engineering technology)

·        Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a service engineering role

·        Proven track record of success in service delivery and technical support

·        Ready to travel across India (for field service roles)

·        Ability to lift and carry equipment (as required)

·        Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays (as required)

·        Dynamic to learn new things

·        Disciplined with good inter-personal skills,

·        Team player and self-driven, Result oriented with positive Approach
