About the role
At Catawiki, every day brings the extraordinary! Whether it’s Daniel Ricciardo’s Formula 1 Car, a Woolly Mammoth’s Skeleton, Lady Gaga's Jumpsuit or Usain Bolt’s running shoe, we encounter exceptional objects every day.
We’re a one-of-a-kind marketplace for buying and selling special objects. Each week, more than 100,000 unique items are auctioned, all carefully curated by our passionate in-house experts.
Having sold over 25 million unique objects, our mission is to become the world’s most popular destination for special objects. As a growing, diverse and sustainable scale-up, we proudly live by three core values. If these values resonate with you, we’d love to explore how you can join us.
- Taking ownership and driving impact
- Being open to change and feedback
- Being passionate about our mission and our customers.
Your Mission
Own and grow Catawiki’s organic social presence across key platforms, turning exceptional objects, expert knowledge and category opportunities into engaging content that builds audience, brand affinity and commercial impact. You will lead the social strategy end-to-end, combining hands-on content creation, creator partnerships and AI-powered workflows to deliver high-quality content at scale while driving measurable business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute the organic social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook, aligning content with business priorities and category opportunities.
- Create, edit and publish social content independently, delivering a consistent stream of platform-native content.
- Collaborate with Experts and Category teams to identify standout lots and transform them into compelling stories tailored to each channel.
- Drive audience growth, engagement, lead generation and conversion performance, using data and insights to optimise results and report impact to senior stakeholders.
- Identify, negotiate and manage influencer and creator partnerships that strengthen reach and relevance across key audiences.
- Build and continuously improve AI-powered content creation workflows, from ideation and scripting through to publishing, enabling efficient content production at scale.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in social media, ideally across both in-house and agency environments within consumer, media or marketplace businesses.
- Proven ability to take content from concept to publication independently, including writing, shooting, editing and publishing.
- Strong working knowledge of tools such as Figma, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects) or CapCut, with a sharp eye for platform-native content.
- Hands-on experience using generative AI tools throughout the content creation process and a strong interest in advancing AI-powered workflows.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, with experience setting KPIs, identifying growth opportunities and driving measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- An international mindset, with experience across multiple markets and languages and an interest in art, collectibles, luxury or design considered a plus.
How We Work
- Partner closely with Brand, Communicatons, CRM, Paid Social and Category teams to maximise the impact of campaigns across channels.
- Work cross-functionally with in-house experts and category specialists to uncover stories and content opportunities.
- Take ownership of strategy, execution and performance in a lean, high-impact setup.
- Continuously test, learn and adapt, using emerging platforms, tools and technologies to improve results.
