As we continue to enhance production from our mature fields, we are seeking a skilled Well Performance Engineer to drive optimisation across our well portfolio. This role is central to our efforts in improving inflow performance, managing artificial lift systems, and coordinating well interventions.

You will work closely with subsurface, drilling, and operations teams to ensure wells deliver sustainable and safe production, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimise Well Performance: Monitor daily well data, identify underperformers, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain and update well models and chemical injection strategies.
  • Manage Artificial Lift Systems: Design and review gas lift and ESP configurations. Troubleshoot lift performance and support field teams with operational guidance.
  • Coordinate Well Interventions: Evaluate feasibility of workovers and rigless activities. Collaborate on completion designs and support execution planning.
  • Lead Production Enhancement Projects: Drive quick-win initiatives, support ESP commissioning, chemical trials, and metering improvements.
  • Champion Data & Safety: Maintain structured performance databases, contribute to well integrity reviews, and provide technical input on HSSE matters.

Requirements

  • Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 1-5 years of oil and gas experience, with a focus on well performance and artificial lift systems
  • Proficient in well modelling and optimisation tools (Prosper, GAP, PI ProcessBook, DesignRite, Excel).
  • Familiar with artificial lift technologies (gas lift, ESP, PCP, SRP) and completion engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communicator and team player, comfortable working in multicultural, field-to-HQ environments.
  • Committed to safety, continuous improvement, and production excellence.
