Companies Rivr Assembly Operator

About the role

Rivr

Amazon RIVR is a robotics company pioneering Physical AI through real-world doorstep delivery. Founded in 2024 as an ETH Zurich spin-off, RIVR developed wheeled-legged robots designed to operate in complex, unstructured environments such as stairs, gates, doors, and uneven urban terrain. We believe that achieving general physical intelligence requires solving real customer problems in the real world, where robots can learn from rich operational data at scale.

Following our acquisition by Amazon in March 2026, we are continuing this mission with greater reach and speed. By combining custom robot hardware, onboard autonomy, and cloud-based coordination, Amazon RIVR is building the next generation of safe, reliable autonomous robots for last-mile delivery

Job Description

As an Assembly Operator, you will be at the heart of our production process, bringing cutting-edge robotic technology to life. This isn't just a repetitive factory job; it’s a role for someone who takes pride in precision and wants to be part of the future of automation. You will work in a modern environment, transforming high-tech components into fully functional robotic systems.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building complex robotic units from the ground up, ensuring every screw, sensor, and motor is perfectly placed.

  • Using a variety of hand and power tools to assemble delicate components according to strict quality standards.

  • Safely lifting and positioning robotic components weighing up to 15 kg during the assembly process.

  • Performing initial inspections and basic functional tests to ensure hardware meets performance benchmarks.

  • Following assembly instructions and maintaining logs of the work performed.

  • What you must have

  • A solid foundation of basic technical knowledge (mechanics, electronics, or similar).

  • Proven experience in using manual and electric tools (screwdrivers, torque wrenches, etc.).

  • Communicative English to understand technical documentation and communicate with the team.

  • Get some bonus points

  • Prior experience working specifically with robots or automation systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (schematics, blueprints).

  • A knack for spotting a mechanical issue before it becomes a production bottleneck.

  • Amazon RIVR is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that values every perspective. If you’re passionate about driving innovation in robotics and creating meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply and bring your unique self to our team.

We believe the best work is done when collaborating and therefore require in-person presence in our office locations.
