Role Summary
The Portfolio Business Manager (PBM) is responsible for the operational, commercial, and workforce governance of a portfolio of client accounts. The PBM partners closely with Client Partners, Project Managers, Delivery Leads, and key Enterprise Functions (e.g. Finance, Operations and Resourcing teams) – across multiple jurisdictions - to ensure:
· accurate forecasting and account planning, · effective resourcing and capacity planning, · operational discipline and account reporting governance, · commercial compliance and commercial excellence, The role enables senior client leaders to remain focused on client delivery, relationship management, and business growth by providing dedicated operational management across the account portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Portfolio Commercial Management
· Own portfolio forecasting cadence and reporting accuracy
· Ensure pipeline hygiene and opportunity governance
· Monitor backlog coverage, qualified coverage, bookings and book-to-bill metrics
· Track margin performance and revenue risks
· Manage deferred revenue and accounts receivable escalations
· Support commercial reviews and account financial governance
Resource & Demand Management
· Oversee portfolio demand management across all accounts
· Coordinate with Resourcing and Recruitment teams
· Ensure timely role creation and extension management
· Monitor onboarding and roll-off governance
· Maintain visibility of future staffing demand and bench risk
· Support workforce planning across the portfolio
Operational Governance
· Lead weekly operational governance forums
· Drive timesheet and compliance discipline
· Ensure operational SLAs are met
· Maintain reporting standards and account data quality
· Coordinate account operational escalations
Stakeholder Management
· Partner with Client Partners and Delivery Leads
· Act as primary liaison across: o Finance Operations, o Resourcing, o Recruitment, o HR Operations, o PMs.
· Provide portfolio insights and operational reporting to leadership
