We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Farm Manager to join and support the Oxfordshire team.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of crop production, including planting, crop monitoring, and harvesting.
  • Assist in achieving crop yield, quality, and budget targets.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety across the farm.
  • Plan and coordinate labour requirements, particularly during peak and harvest periods.
  • Oversee the efficient use of farm machinery and ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Maintain accurate records of machinery and farm assets.
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure best value for goods and services.
  • Support, motivate, and develop farm employees through effective communication and leadership.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Build positive working relationships across the wider business.
  • Undertake training and any other duties appropriate to the role.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an Assistant Farm Manager or similar agricultural role.
  • Good knowledge of crop production and modern farming practices.
  • Experience coordinating labour and farm operations.
  • Understanding of agricultural machinery and maintenance requirements.
  • Strong organisational and IT skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Relevant agricultural qualifications are desirable.
