Companies Cube Product Owner - Data Products

About the role

Cube

We are seeking a Product Owner for our Data Products to help shape and prioritize dashboards, analytics tools, and data platform features that solve real business problems. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, engineers, BI analysts, and designers to define what should be built, why it matters, and how it can be delivered effectively. This role involves working closely with cross-functional and international teams across different business functions to deliver impactful and usable data products.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable working with evolving data, unclear requirements, and cross-functional teams as you will play a key role in turning business needs into focused, usable data products with clear purpose, scope, and value.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead product discovery by identifying user needs, business problems, personas, and use cases for dashboards and data products
  • Translate business requirements into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlog items
  • Define scope, non-scope, trade-offs, and priorities based on business value, user impact, data readiness, and delivery capacity
  • Work closely with BI, engineering, and design teams to ensure solutions are usable, actionable, and aligned with real business workflows
  • Clarify requirements during development and help the delivery team avoid ambiguity, rework, and scope creep
  • Validate dashboards and features against acceptance criteria before release
  • Communicate known data limitations, assumptions, and release notes clearly to stakeholders
  • Collect user feedback and usage signals to improve existing dashboards, features, and product direction
  • Support leadership with visibility into product priorities, decisions, and trade-offs

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role
  • Strong data literacy and comfort working with imperfect, incomplete, or evolving data
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, buildable product requirements
  • Strong prioritization, scope management, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms is a plus
  • Background in analytics, business analysis, data products, or data platform initiatives is preferred
  • Self-motivated, structured, and proactive in solving product and business problems
  • Experience working in fast-paced, international, and cross-functional environments
