Part Time Senior Caregiver - Whitestone, NY

A family in Whitestone, NY 11357 is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced caregiver to provide part-time support and companionship for an 81-year-old woman. The ideal candidate will be patient, dependable, and comfortable assisting with daily routines while helping promote independence, safety, and an active lifestyle.

Schedule:

• 2–3 days per week (flexible days)
• Approximately 3–4 hours per day (flexible hours)

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home
• No pets in the home

Responsibilities:

• Providing companionship and social engagement
• Assisting with transportation to errands, appointments, and outings as needed
• Preparing meals and assisting with meal planning
• Providing medication reminders
• Encouraging activity, including walks and other safe activities
• Assisting with light household tasks to help maintain a comfortable environment

Requirements:

• Prior experience working with seniors, particularly individuals with memory-related challenges
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (caregiver must provide their own vehicle)
• Comfortable assisting with transportation needs
• Patient, caring, and dependable personality
• Italian-speaking/bilingual caregiver preferred

Compensation:

• $25-$28 per hour (commensurate with experience)
