Position Summary
The Repair & Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of company launch monitor products through a combination of product testing, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement activities. This role
splits time between conducting quality control evaluations on new and returned products and performing diagnostics and repairs on units requiring service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically inclined, and committed to delivering a high-
quality customer experience by ensuring every product meets company performance standards before reaching or returning to the customer.
Key Responsibilities – Quality Control
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections on launch monitor products and components.
- Execute standardized testing procedures to verify product functionality, accuracy, and performance specifications.
- Identify, document, and escalate quality issues, defects, or trends.
- Maintain detailed QC records and inspection documentation.
- Verify calibration, software/firmware functionality, and system performance.
- Assist in developing and improving QC procedures, work instructions, and testing protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to resolve quality-related concerns.
- Ensure products meet company standards before shipment or return to customers.
Key Responsibilities – Repair & Service
- Diagnose hardware, software, and system-level issues on returned launch monitor units.
- Perform repairs, component replacements, adjustments, and rework as required.
- Conduct root cause analysis on product failures and document findings.
- Validate repair effectiveness through post-repair testing and quality verification.
- Maintain repair records, service logs, and inventory usage documentation.
- Assist in identifying recurring product issues and provide feedback for product improvements.
- Support warranty and non-warranty repair operations while meeting turnaround time goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe repair workspace.
Requirements
Qualifications – Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical and technical aptitude with experience troubleshooting electronic devices.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions, test procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry and documentation systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, measurement devices, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications – Preferred
- Technical certification in electronics repair or related field preferred.
- Experience repairing consumer electronics, industrial equipment, or technology products.
- Experience with quality control or quality assurance processes.
- Understanding of calibration, testing, and validation procedures.
- Basic understanding of electronic devices, components, and repair tools.
- Knowledge of golf technology, launch monitors, or sports performance equipment. Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving small components and tools.
- Visual ability to inspect components and identify defects
