Jasmax is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor to join our Auckland studio.
Jasmax is a multi-award-winning architecture and design practice with studios across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. With over 250 team members, Jasmax offers multi-disciplinary expertise and integrated design solutions across architecture, interior design, urban design and landscape architecture.
The role:
The Senior Technical Advisor is an integral member of the Knowledge and Innovation team. This team keeps Jasmax at the forefront of project delivery, building systems, procurement, compliance, and digital technology, supporting our studio teams to ensure our projects align with our clients’ expectations and best practices.
This role provides technical guidance, mentoring, and support to our project teams in New Zealand and Australia. The focus is to improve the technical quality of design, documentation and delivery processes within the framework of our Quality Assurance System. Jasmax is ISO accredited so working within ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards is imperative.
There may be times where projects teams will require assistance with documentation planning and technical resolution. The opportunity to be embedded in projects, now and again, provides insight to training gaps and improvement opportunities.
Skills and experience:
- A registered architect with at least 15 years' + experience in delivering large complex projects across all phases.
- Specialist knowledge of materials, products, and buildability.
- A detailed understanding of the design, documentation, construction, and regulatory controls for successful project delivery.
- Technical understanding of commercial construction systems and the integration with structures/services.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand Building Code, building regulations and compliance frameworks.
- An understanding of Australian architectural practice is beneficial.
- Focus on quality, risk management, compliance, and innovative solutions.
- Strong design sensibilities and an awareness of the importance of design excellence.
- A collaborative approach and enjoy working alongside others.
