KPMG Ukraine is looking for Senior Accountant with solid knowledge of accounting and tax legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Paricipate in accounting outsourcing projects, including preparation of tax and management reports for clients (legal entities and representative offices) across various industries.
- Coordinate financial, management, and tax accounting services and ensure timely and accurate client deliverables.
- Independently maintain accounting records in ERP systems, close reporting periods, and prepare full statutory financial statements (5 forms) under Ukrainian GAAP (П(С)БО).
- Prepare a full package of financial statements based on ERP data and perform financial statement review.
- Prepare and submit tax reporting, including VAT, corporate income tax (with RІ appendices), tax invoices, and transfer/payment documentation.
- Handle withholding taxes, including repatriation tax: calculation, payment, and related tax reporting.
- Provide advisory support on accounting and tax methodology, including regulatory interpretation (Tax Code of Ukraine – must have).
- Organize work and on‑the‑job training of accountants, ensuring effective task prioritization and decision‑making.
- Communicate proactively with clients and support long‑term professional relationships.
- Develop junior team members through guidance, mentoring, and constructive performance feedback.
Requirements:
- Academic degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including:
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and the ability to independently maintain accounting records
- Hands‑on experience preparing full statutory financial statements (5 forms) under П(С)БО
- Proven experience preparing tax reporting: VAT, corporate income tax, tax invoices, and related appendices
- Direct experience with repatriation tax (calculation, payment, reporting)
- Strong knowledge of the Tax Code of Ukraine
- Experience working with accounting ERP systems such as SAP (preferred), BAS, Navision, Dynamics, 1C, or similar
- Fluent Ukrainian
- IFRS knowledge is an advantage
- High level of independence, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to make decisions
- English – confident professional communication (B2 or higher) is mandatory
- English proficiency is an advantage
- Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA) and Big Four experience are considered strong advantages
