Liquid Personnel are proud to support the Government of Jersey in recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join their Children’s Social Care service on a permanent basis. This frontline role focuses on delivering high‑quality assessment, safeguarding and care planning work for children in need, children looked after, care leavers and those requiring protection. Your Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver social work assessments and interventions for children in need, children looked after, care leavers and those requiring safeguarding.
  • Develop and review holistic care plans that place the child’s voice and rights at the centre.
  • Assess and manage risk, escalating concerns and using statutory powers where required
  • Maintain clear, accurate and analytical case records in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families and professionals, including in highly sensitive situations.

For this role you will need

  • Social Work qualification (Degree, Diploma or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and statutory social work practice.
  • Experience delivering social work services to children, young people, families and carers.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and produce high‑quality written reports.
