Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, the leading hotel chain in Greece, is hiring a Wedding Sales Executive to join its team. The Wedding Sales Executive is responsible for driving growth and development of the wedding and social events segment across the company’s hotel portfolio in Rethymno. Furthermore, you will look after the entire process once the event is delegated to a hotel in Rethymno. From proposals to negotiating contracts and ensuring a seamless handover to operational teams. A key focus of the position is building and maintaining strong relationships with international wedding planners, destination management companies, travel partners, and direct clients, while positioning the hotels as leading wedding and event destinations within the luxury hospitality market. Responsibilities

• Prepare customized proposals, presentations, quotations, and contracts for all hotels in Rethymno.
• Manage wedding and event inquiries from the initial contact through to the completion of the event for the Rethymno hotels.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends in Crete.
• Present and promote the company’s available venues and services in Crete.
• Follow up and manage proposals, contracts, and reservations.
• Coordinate with the various hotel departments in Crete, including Wedding Coordinators, Food & Beverage, Room Division, and other operational departments.
• Communicate and coordinate with external partners and suppliers in Crete, including wedding planners, photographers, DJs, and other event professionals.
• Organize site inspections for clients and partners in Crete.
• Monitor event and accommodation revenues in Crete.
• Monitor declined events and wedding turndowns for the hotels in Crete, including the analysis of the reasons for decline and the associated lost revenue.
• Manage and resolve issues arising during the booking and organization of events.
• Maintain daily communication and follow-up correspondence with the hotels, including operational support and issue resolution.
• Collect and manage photographic and promotional material for weddings in Crete.
• Prepare wedding and event performance statistics as required by management.

Requirements

• Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in Wedding Sales, Event Sales, or a similar position, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Customer-oriented approach with attention to detail.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers.
• Good knowledge of the wedding and events market in Crete.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced working environment.
• Fluency in English, knowledge of additional languages will be considered as an asset
