Position Description:
- The Vehicle Dynamics Tuning Engineer plays an integral part in the vehicle dynamics development by providing feedback to programs based on test results.
- Besides driving and testing vehicles, close communication with simulation engineers is important to help guide the program towards the requirements.
- Experience from proving grounds and tuning vehicles based on subjective evaluation is required.
- Hence, deep understanding of suspension and chassis architecture and components, and their effect on ride and handling is important.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
- Experience in automotive engineering product development
- Suspension architecture and development experience
- Vehicle Ride and Handling Tuning or Development Experience
- Proactive and Reactive problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience from cross functional interaction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university
- Test Driving experience
- Racing experience/background
- Vehicle dynamics simulation experience
