We're looking for an experienced Underground Supervisor Mining who thrives in a fast-paced underground environment and is passionate about developing people, achieving results, and maintaining world-class safety standards.
This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role where you'll have the autonomy to lead your crew, make impactful decisions, and contribute directly to the success of our Southern Goldfields operation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Underground Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of development and production activities underground.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring underground mining crews to achieve production targets.
- Driving a strong safety culture through visible leadership and proactive risk management.
- Coordinating labour, equipment, and resources to maximise shift performance.
- Conducting pre-start meetings, workplace inspections, and effective shift handovers.
- Ensuring compliance with site procedures and legislative requirements.
- Supporting workforce development through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Investigating incidents, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing corrective actions.
- Building a collaborative and accountable team culture focused on continuous improvement.
About You
You are a respected underground leader who leads by example and brings energy, accountability, and a safety-first mindset to every shift.
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
- Extensive underground mining experience.
- Proven leadership experience supervising underground crews.
- Strong knowledge of underground production and development activities.
- Exceptional communication and people leadership skills.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- The ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic mining environment.
Essential Requirements
- Underground Supervisor's Certificate.
- Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Current WA Class C Driver's Licence.
- National Police Clearance.
Desirable
- Working at Heights.
- Dangerous Goods Security Clearance.
- Shotfirer's Licence.
