As a Tool Hire Driver/Assistant at Jewson, you will play a key role in ensuring
customers receive safe, well-maintained equipment and excellent service.
As part of the role, you will be required to drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver and collect customer orders, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 07:00-16:30 or 7:30-17:00, with the requirement of working 1 in 3 Saturdays from 08:00-12:00.
What You’ll Be Doing :
Driving a 3.5-tonne tail-lift vehicle, delivering and collecting hire tools, towers and plant.
When delivering and collecting plant, the role will also involve towing a trailer on a regular basis.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience in this type of role, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
The candidate will require the appropriate Driver Card to operate the vehicle and trailer in line with VOSA/DVSA tachograph requirements.
Assist at the Hire Counter, supporting both customers and colleagues.
Working within the workshop, testing and preparing equipment to ensure our tools are safe, clean and presentable for our next customers to hire.
General housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe and organised Hire area will also form part of the role.
