A Day in the Life

Tooling Engineer II responsible for supporting tooling-related projects that ensure manufacturing continuity and operational efficiency within a medical device manufacturing environment. Requires experience with Change Control, Validation, PPAP, and supplier quality change management.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities, understands the manufacturing impact of engineering changes, and effectively coordinates activities with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required. Candidates must be able to work independently, perform effectively under pressure, and deliver results with minimal supervision.

Medical device industry experience
English (written and verbal)
Change Control knowledge
Validation experience

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Designs, develops and implements industrial machinery and equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype model production and machine attachments required for production or experimental use, considering such factors as accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements.
• May use CAD/CAM to design tools.

TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.
