This role is responsible for designing and implementing E2E capability development strategies that build critical skills, strengthen workforce, and enable a continuous learning culture aligned with the Marietta Site Strategy. You will partner with HR, site leadership, and the GPS function to align capability development, career pathways, and workforce onboarding with current and future business needs specific to Drug Product operations. Your work ensures the facility has the right talent and capabilities to drive sustained performance, resilience, and long-term success. You will work with operations, quality, engineering, and learning partners to design and deliver training, build technical capability, and improve how people learn on the job. We value clear communicators, practical problem solvers, and hands-on coaches who enjoy helping others grow. This role offers career growth, visible impact on manufacturing performance, and a chance to contribute to GSK’s mission of uniting science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Drug Product facility capability strategy and 3-year capability roadmap, aligning priorities and milestones with site strategy.

  • Bring and lead deployment of digital tools, augmented reality, AI, and other smart learning technologies to accelerate learning and development content creation, improve learner engagement, and scale capability-building across Drug Product operations.

  • Plan, manage, and track development of training materials for the new Drug Product Manufacturing facility using tools such as Microsoft Project, and develop and maintain dashboards to communicate progress, escalations, risks, and status to leadership.

  • Collaborate with Operations Managers, Engineering, MSAT, and other cross-functional partners to drive creation, review, and deployment of learning and development content aligned with Drug Product manufacturing readiness needs. Design and maintain the Drug Product facility capability operating system, linking strategy to capability requirements, pathways, assessment, deployment, and sustainment within a manufacturing environment.

  • Establish standard ownership and sustainment expectations for embedding capability into daily work at the Drug Product facility.

  • Lead the Learning Council to prioritize capability work, maintain alignment, and manage roadmaps for Drug Product operations.

  • Drive adoption and sustainment of major capability deployments using disciplined change enablement. Build and maintain role-based learning pathways and competency expectations for priority and future roles within drug product manufacturing.

  • Leverage learning technologies to scale capability development and reduce reliance on one-off content. Define success measures for capability investments and evaluate effectiveness. Design, deliver and continuously improve technical training programs for manufacturing staff, including classroom, and digital learning.

  • Lead capability assessments to identify skills gaps and create development plans with operations and engineering leaders.

  • Coach frontline leaders and technical specialists to strengthen on-the-job coaching, standard work and problem solving. Partner with quality and EHS to ensure training supports compliance, safe work and consistent with good manufacturing practices.

  • Measure training effectiveness and use data to improve learning approaches, skill retention, and operational performance. Support new product introductions and process changes by preparing targeted training and readiness materials.

Basic Qualifications:

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Manufacturing Operations, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, or a related technical or operational discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, or governing capability systems, learning architectures, or structured development frameworks. Practical understanding and knowledge of good manufacturing practices, quality systems, and training requirements

  • Proven ability to influence across functions and levels, enabling leaders to own capability development. Experience operating in complex environments requiring prioritization, governance, and trade-off decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Professional in Talent Development CPTD, Associate Professional in Talent Development APTD, or equivalent learning and development certification. Change management certification such as Prosci ADKAR or the equivalent certifications.

  • Experience with training, instructional design, or learning technology certification, such as ATD, ADDIE, Learning Experience Design, or digital learning design credentials. Digital transformation, data visualization, dashboarding, or analytics certification, such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.

  • Experience with digital learning platforms, learning management systems (LMS), or eLearning development tools.

  • Ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders through clear, structured communication and sound judgment.

  • Strong systems and portfolio thinking, with the ability to prioritize and govern multiple initiatives.

  • Data-informed approach to assessing capability effectiveness and maturity. Working knowledge of GMP-regulated Drug Product manufacturing environments and how capability supports compliance and performance. Sound business and financial acumen.

  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with competing priorities and ambiguity.
