Sonography Adjunct Faculty Opportunity
Tallahassee State College is excited to announce openings for the position of Adjunct Faculty in Sonography with Healthcare Professions. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.
What You’ll Do
As a Sonography Adjunct Faculty the day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Provide instruction, service and support of college policies and procedures, along with opportunities for professional development.
Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of clinical experiences for the concentration(s) students are enrolled in
Provide clinical instruction and document the evaluation and progression of clinical performance leading to clinical competence
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate must:
Associates Degree
A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field. Skills or traits like leadership, communication, teamwork, etc.
Have documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques
In addition to the minimum qualifications listed for the positions, applicants must be able to work in any clinical settings. All prospective faculty are expected to demonstrate the following characteristics:
Commitment to student retention and success
Commitment to development and assessment of student learning
Use of technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning,
including distance learning and alternative delivery systems.
Willingness to support a diverse population of learners inside and beyond the classroom
Ability to work in a participatory and collegial setting
