SEO Specialist (Technical SEO, Ahrefs & SEMrush) – Remote

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring an SEO Specialist to drive organic traffic, improve search rankings, and strengthen the technical health of high-impact websites.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role where you’ll own technical SEO, keyword strategy, content optimization, site health, link building, and performance reporting.

If you’re experienced with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and technical SEO audits and know how to turn search data into measurable growth, this role is for you.

What You’ll Own

Keyword Research & SEO Strategy

• Conduct in-depth keyword research using:
• SEMrush
• Ahrefs
• Google Keyword Planner
• Map keywords to search intent and funnel stages.
• Identify:
• Ranking opportunities
• Content gaps
• Competitor opportunities
• High-value search terms
• Build SEO-driven content strategies aligned with organic growth goals.

On-Page SEO & Content Optimization

• Optimize:
• Meta titles and descriptions
• H1–H3 heading structures
• Internal linking
• URL structures
• Image optimization
• Implement schema markup and structured data where applicable.
• Conduct content audits and recommend updates, expansions, or optimization opportunities.
• Ensure content remains both search-friendly and engaging for users.
• Improve existing pages to increase rankings, traffic, and conversions.

Technical SEO

• Conduct technical audits using:
• Screaming Frog
• Sitebulb
• SEMrush
• Identify and resolve:
• Crawl errors
• Indexing issues
• Broken links
• Duplicate content
• Redirect and canonicalization issues
• Manage:
• XML sitemaps
• Robots.txt
• Canonical tags
• Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile performance, and crawlability.
• Work with developers to prioritize and implement technical SEO improvements.

Off-Page SEO & Link Building

• Develop ethical, scalable link-building strategies.
• Support backlink acquisition through:
• Guest posting
• PR outreach
• Partnerships
• Monitor backlink quality and domain authority.
• Identify potentially harmful or low-quality backlinks and support cleanup or disavowal where appropriate.

Analytics & Reporting

• Track:
• Keyword rankings
• Organic traffic
• Search impressions
• Conversions
• SEO performance trends
• Analyze performance using Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Build dashboards using Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports with clear insights and recommendations.
• Use performance data to continuously refine SEO strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with:
• Content writers
• Developers
• Marketing teams
• Provide SEO recommendations for:
• Website redesigns
• Site migrations
• New website launches
• Landing pages
• Content initiatives
• Ensure SEO requirements are incorporated into development and content workflows.

Required Experience & Skills

• 2+ years of professional SEO experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• SEMrush
• Ahrefs
• Screaming Frog
• Google Analytics
• Google Search Console
• Strong understanding of:
• Technical SEO
• On-page SEO
• Off-page SEO
• Keyword research
• Search intent
• Link building
• Experience working with CMS platforms such as:
• WordPress
• Webflow
• Shopify
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate SEO data into actionable recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Proven success ranking competitive keywords.
• Advanced technical SEO audit experience.
• Knowledge of schema markup and structured data.
• International or multilingual SEO experience.

• Review backlink profiles and link-building opportunities.
• Analyze performance and prepare SEO reports.
