About the Role

We're looking for a standout Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build our AI-powered software, used every day by clinic staff and administrators. You'll work across the stack, use scalable design patterns and best practices, and create delightful, user-friendly experiences in a space that's technically complex but rooted in human impact.

You'll spend most of your time building. You'll also spend a real part of it reviewing other engineers' designs and code, because we want the standards you hold yourself to become the standards of the team.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality features across the entire stack, from our React/TypeScript frontend to our Java/Spring Boot backend and Python for our AI/ML services.

• Collaborate closely with the CTO on key architectural decisions and help define and maintain the architectural standards the team builds against, ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and built for the long term. Staff-level hires will own architectural direction across services.

• Review pull requests and design proposals from other engineers, and hold the line on design and software-engineering principles so the codebase stays coherent as the team grows.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers: review their designs before they build, pair with them on hard problems, and give feedback that changes how they work, not just the PR in front of you.

• Contribute to and improve our cloud infrastructure and our CI/CD pipelines to ensure a fast, reliable development and release cycle.

• Partner with product and design stakeholders to translate complex healthcare workflows into simple, intuitive, and delightful user experiences.

• Champion software quality by implementing comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E) and promoting development best practices across the team.

• Write clear, maintainable documentation for code, architecture, and processes to set the standard for future engineering hires.

• Contribute to product and UX thinking, actively shaping what gets built, not just how.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of professional experience building and shipping production-grade, full-stack web applications. Staff-level candidates will have 10+ years of experience with a track record of technical leadership.

• Experience mentoring engineers and reviewing design work, with examples of feedback that changed the outcome.

• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining LLM-based agentic applications in production is essential.

• Deep expertise in backend development using Java and the Spring Boot framework.

• Strong proficiency with modern frontend development using React and TypeScript.

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications to modern cloud environments.
