Senior People Analyst

12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Edinburgh (We believe in the power of in-person collaboration, and our hybrid model requires colleagues to be in the office a minimum of 40% of their time)  

Salary: A competitive salary from £43,120 – £64,680 depending on the experience you can bring

As part of this, our People Analytics team plays a critical role in transforming people data into meaningful insight that drives better decision-making and organisational effectiveness.

We're looking for a Senior People Analyst to join our team and lead the delivery of high-quality people MI, reporting and analytics.

This is a highly visible role where you'll combine technical expertise, commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills to provide actionable insights that influence business and people strategies. Working with colleagues across the UK business, you'll drive innovation in reporting, automation and advanced analytics while championing a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Delivering impactful people MI, reporting and analytics that support informed business and people decisions.

• Identifying trends, risks and opportunities within workforce data and translating findings into actionable recommendations.

• Developing and enhancing dashboards, reports and visualisations using tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

• Driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy and scalability.

• Applying advanced analytics and statistical techniques to generate deeper workforce insights.

• Acting as a trusted subject matter expert for people data, reporting and analytics across the business.

• Building strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding business challenges and using data to help shape solutions.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Significant experience in analytics, MI, reporting or data-focused role.

• Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting large and complex datasets.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

• Experience working Python or similar data transformation tools.

• Experience partnering with and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

• The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to non-technical audiences.

• Experience working with HR or people data, with Workday knowledge being an advantage.

• Knowledge of statistical modelling and the ability to turn complex outputs into meaningful business insights.

What’s in it for you?

• We’re serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place.  We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we’ll put in 9%.  If you decide to contribute more, we’ll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that’s 7% from you and 13% from us). 

• A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance

• 36 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)
