The Challenge 

As a Senior Development Manager, you will lead the engineering teams responsible for transforming strategic customer insights into scalable platform capabilities across OneTrust's AIReady Governance Platform. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Customer Engineering, Architecture, and Software Development, with responsibility for building the next generation of capabilities spanning Privacy, Consent, Risk, AI Governance, and Compliance solutions. 

You will lead multiple engineering teams, establish technical direction, scale modern engineering practices, and drive execution against some of OneTrust's most strategic customer commitments. Through close partnership with Product Specialists, Solution Architects, and Design Partner customers, you will help translate real-world customer challenges into durable product innovations that benefit the entire market. 

Success in this role means delivering exceptional customer outcomes, accelerating product quality and adoption, improving engineering productivity through AI, and building a high-performing organization capable of consistently delivering market-leading solutions. 

Your Mission 

• Lead Engineering Strategy & Execution: Define and execute the engineering strategy for customer-driven innovation initiatives across the Design Partner Program. Align technical investments with product strategy, customer needs, and long-term platform objectives while ensuring predictable delivery and operational excellence. 
• Build High-Performing Engineering Teams: Recruit, develop, and retain world-class engineers and technical leaders. Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, innovation, continuous learning, and engineering excellence. Establish clear career growth paths and mentorship programs that elevate individual and organizational performance. 
• Accelerate Product Innovation: Partner with Product Specialists, Architects, and strategic customers to rapidly validate ideas, prototype solutions, and deliver capabilities that address complex customer challenges. Drive the conversion of customer feedback into product investments that improve quality, adoption, and platform competitiveness.  
• Drive Technical Excellence: Establish engineering standards, architecture principles, quality practices, observability frameworks, security controls, and operational processes that ensure scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems. Champion modern software engineering practices across the organization. 
• Lead AI-Powered Engineering Transformation: Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices across engineering teams. Establish standards, governance, and success metrics for tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Devin, Cursor, Windsurf, and emerging AI engineering technologies. Improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing effectiveness, and delivery speed through responsible AI adoption. 
• Deliver Customer Outcomes at Scale: Partner closely with Customer Engineering and Design Partner teams to ensure strategic customer investments result in measurable business outcomes. Balance customer-specific needs with platform scalability to maximize long-term product value.

Your Experience Includes 

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated success delivering enterprise-scale SaaS platforms and customer-facing products. 
• 5+ years leading engineering managers, engineering teams, or multi-team organizations. 
• Proven experience scaling engineering organizations, operating models, and development practices across multiple teams. 
• Strong software architecture and distributed systems expertise. 
• Experience delivering cloud-native applications and operating highly available distributed services. 
• Demonstrated success driving large cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Engineering, Architecture, Customer Success, and Operations. 
• Experience implementing modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD, observability, platform engineering, automated testing, and developer productivity initiatives. 
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development transformation and measuring engineering effectiveness improvements. 
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills. 
• Track record of delivering measurable business outcomes through engineering investments and customer-focused innovation.
