We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Customer Marketing to own the programs that celebrate our customers, amplify their voices, and connect them to each other and to Yext. This is a role for someone who genuinely loves customers — who knows how to build relationships, tell stories, and create experiences that turn satisfied customers into active advocates.
You’ll manage the programs that generate proof, build community, and surface the customer perspective that shapes how Yext goes to market. Your deep knowledge of our customer base will directly feed executive event programming and contribute to product roadmap conversations.
What You’ll Do
Customer Stories & Case Studies
- Build and manage a pipeline of customer stories that span industries, use cases, and outcomes — from written case studies to video testimonials or podcast episodes.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to identify strong candidates and move them efficiently through the story development process.
- Maintain a content library that gives Sales and Marketing ready access to compelling, current proof points.
- Set the bar for quality — ensuring every story leads with highly specific customer challenges, how Yext uniquely solved it, and highlight customer outcomes.
Reference Library
- Own the customer reference program end to end — building, maintaining, and activating a library of referenceable customers by industry, product, and use case.
- Partner closely with Sales to match the right reference to the right deal at the right moment.
- Develop a reference cultivation strategy that grows the pool, protects customer relationships, and prevents overuse.
Reviews
- Drive Yext’s presence on G2, Gartner Peer Insights, and other key review platforms.
- Build scalable programs that generate authentic reviews from satisfied customers at the right moments in their journey.
- Monitor review trends and surface insights to relevant teams.
Innovator Community
- Own the strategy and day-to-day management of Yext’s Innovator Community — a peer network for our most forward-thinking customers.
- Design programming that drives engagement, fosters peer exchange, and creates a natural pipeline of advocates.
- Partner with Customer Success and Product to make the community a destination for customers who want to go deeper with Yext.
Customer Advisory Board
- Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of the executive Customer Advisory Board program — from member recruitment and agenda design through post-event follow-up and measurement.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal C-suite leadership and executive customers, using strong executive presence to build trusted relationships and prepare/coach internal executives ahead of every interaction.
- Manage competing executive stakeholders and schedules with tact and diplomacy, negotiating agendas and priorities to keep the program on track while protecting the executive experience.
- Translate CAB discussions and customer feedback into clear, actionable insights that influence roadmap and strategic decisions at the executive level.
Speaker Sourcing
- Serve as the primary source for customer speakers across Yext’s events portfolio — including Envision, webinars, and third-party conferences.
- Draw on your knowledge of the customer base to identify and recommend the right speakers for the right moments — matching customer story, industry, and outcome to event context.
- Build and maintain a speaker pipeline so the business always has strong, prepared customer voices ready to go.
- Partner with event owners to brief speakers, set expectations, and ensure every customer who takes the stage has a great experience.
Customer Intelligence
- Surface customer themes, sentiment, and success stories that inform product roadmap discussions and GTM strategy.
- Serve as a consistent customer voice in cross-functional conversations across PMM, Product, and CS.
- Identify patterns across the customer base — who is growing, who is succeeding, and why — and make that intelligence available to the teams that need it.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in customer marketing, product marketing, or customer success — with hands-on experience running advocacy, community, or reference programs.
- Highly experienced at navigating customer marketing with an enterprise customer base, and navigate the complexities of the enterprise approval process.
- Demonstrated ability to drive alignment and accountability across executive stakeholders, project managing cross-functional program timelines, decisions, and dependencies to keep customer marketing initiatives moving forward.
- A track record of producing high-quality customer content and managing reference programs in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills — you know how to earn customer trust and make them want to participate.
- Excellent storytelling and writing ability; you know what makes a customer story compelling and how to bring it to life across formats.
- Experience managing community programs or customer engagement initiatives that drive measurable participation and outcomes.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented — you can manage multiple programs, stakeholders, and timelines without dropping anything.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing without authority across Sales, CS, Product, and Marketing.
- A genuine passion for customers and a belief that their success is the most powerful marketing asset we have.
