Requirements
You Will
- Own the full local employee lifecycle - onboarding and offboarding employees, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and welcoming experience as we grow the Thailand team
- Manage sensitive employee situations (e.g. misconduct cases, PIP processes, contract expiry), exercising sound judgment to ensure compliance and minimise legal risk, and escalating complex or high-risk matters to the Chief HR Officer
- Own monthly and annual statutory submissions, including tax-related matters, the Student Loan Fund (กยศ.), Legal Execution Department requirements, and other mandatory filings
- Review payroll prepared by the operations team for local accuracy and compliance, flagging and resolving discrepancies before processing
- Keep local policies and employee information current, ensuring ongoing compliance with Thai regulations (e.g. changes to social security contribution rates), in partnership with the regional People team
- Serve as the first point of contact for local managers and employees on day-to-day people matters, providing guidance and escalating where needed
- Maintain accurate local HR data and produce regular reporting (e.g. headcount, attrition), surfacing insights that help us manage the local team
- Partner the regional Compensation & Benefits team on local benefits and pay matters, ensuring accurate local execution
- Support workplace and office-related matters, including office search, setup, fit-out, and pantry/welfare arrangements
- Support local team engagement and employee experience initiatives (e.g. anniversary recognition, gifts), ensuring alignment with regional culture and activities
You Are
- 3+ years' experience in an HR generalist or HR operations role, ideally in a fast-moving or startup environment
- Solid working knowledge of Thai labour law and statutory requirements - Labour Protection Act, social security, withholding tax/PND, กยศ., Legal Execution Department
- A native Thai speaker with strong working English, comfortable operating across a regional team
- Able to work autonomously as a sole-charge HR practitioner - organised, accountable, and comfortable owning the end-to-end without close supervision
- Comfortable operating in a matrixed structure, taking direction from multiple regional stakeholders and managing competing priorities
- Demonstrates sound judgment in assessing people and compliance risk, and knows when to escalate
- Comfortable using HR data to identify insights and inform action
- Empathetic, discreet, and credible with employees and managers at all levels
