Overview:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, your focus will be on taking ownership of a number of key FP&A processes. As part of the FP&A team, you will ensure operational plans are aligned with financial goals and create transparency that allows us to make the right decisions. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in developing and maintaining reporting, analytics, and modeling that provides valuable insight into the company. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will gain deep, hands-on operating experience at a venture-backed software firm. They will also have unique exposure to the CFO and senior executives across functional groups.
What you will do:
- Partner with cross-functional groups on monthly financial reporting (GAAP Revenue, Annual Recurring Revenue), cash forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Increase automation and efficiency of current processes through Excel improvements and AI productivity tools (Claude, Microsoft Copilot); drive the adoption of improved financial processes through teaming with multiple stakeholder groups
- Participate in long-range planning process, including the creation and/or maintenance of Precisely's long-range model and supporting ad-hoc analyses to inform the model
- Support the annual budget through cross-functional collaboration, ensuring the budget supports Precisely's financial and strategic goals
- Ability to work closely with business partners and executives to provide insight and guidance; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models, including long-range models or three-statement financial models; demonstrated ability to turn financial data into relevant insights that support sound decisions
- Self-starter with a positive attitude; outstanding verbal and written communication skills; excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; attention to detail; demonstrated drive for continuous process improvement; ability to balance multiple responsibilities with competing deadlines
- Support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives
What we are looking for:
Required:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (equivalent work experience will be accepted in place of the education requirement).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant FP&A experience, including financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting is required.
- Specific technical or software skills required Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex formulas and modeling techniques); experience with AI productivity tools (Claude, Microsoft Copilot).
AI Skills/Knowledge:
- Experience with AI productivity tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot required.
- Examples leveraging AI productivity tools to automate, create, or enhance a process is preferred.
Preferred Skills (a plus but not required):
- Demonstrated ability to develop long-range financial models or three-statement financial models.
