À propos de ce poste Senior Engineering Manager - Enterprise Trust & Reliability chez Multiverse

Multiverse · Hybride · London

Multiverse is the upskilling platform for AI and Tech adoption.

We have partnered with 1,500+ companies to deliver a new kind of learning that's transforming today’s workforce.

Our upskilling apprenticeships are designed for people of any age and career stage to build critical AI, data, and tech skills. Our learners have driven $2bn+ ROI for their employers, using the skills they’ve learned to improve productivity and measurable performance.

In April 2026, we announced $70 million in strategic funding, led by Schroders Capital, with participation from StepStone Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. At an increased valuation of $2.1bn, the round makes us Europe’s first EdTech double unicorn.

But we aren’t stopping there. With a strong operational footprint and 800+ employees, we have ambitious plans to continue scaling. We’re building a world where tech skills unlock people’s potential and output.

Join Multiverse and power our mission to equip the workforce to win in the AI era.

The opportunity

Enterprise Trust & Reliability (ETR) turns enterprise trust into enterprise revenue. It's where enterprise buyers decide whether they can adopt us: the compliance posture and evidence base we sell on, the operational reliability that keeps us dependable at scale, and the integrations and partnerships that make Multiverse procurement-ready. Far from a support function, it's the layer that makes enterprise adoption possible and drives client partnerships and revenue at scale.

You'll lead the engineering for two of ETR's groups, Commercial Tech & Integrations and Stability & Operations: around seven engineers across the two, and the mandate to shape how they work.

Why the role exists

ETR is a newly formed function, built by bringing commercial integrations and operational reliability together because enterprise buyers make or break AI deals on exactly those things. You're the first dedicated engineering manager for these teams, with the mandate to build how they work from here: technical direction alongside the tech leads, delivery rhythm, growth plans, the hiring bar, on-call practice, all of it. You’ll report into the Single Threaded Leader for the function and together you will shape an evolving function - if you want to set the technical playbook, this is the role.

The teams you'll lead

Commercial Tech & Integrations (CTI) bridges what we sell and what we ship, making Multiverse demonstrable, sellable, and procurement-ready. It owns key cross functional services, CRM data flows into product, customer onboarding friction reduction, and integrations into customer systems (e.g. LMS/KMS). It also runs vendor and partner integrations, including Anthropic. The engineering challenge is building clean, well-tested APIs and integrations that hold up under enterprise security reviews.

Stability & Operations (S&O) keeps the platform dependable as it scales: incident management and the severity model, service-level objectives (SLOs) and error budgets, observability and DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) delivery metrics, the on-call rotation, and the technology evidence base the business needs as it approaches IPO. The engineering challenge here is reliability designed in rather than bolted on, and a fast, calm path from "something's wrong" to "it's fixed."

Between them, these two teams carry the things enterprise buyers test hardest: can you integrate with us cleanly, and will you stay up. You own the engineering health and delivery of both.

What you'll do

You'll own delivery, technical direction, and team health across CTI and S&O:

  • Lead the engineers. Line-manage the seven-or-so engineers across the two groups: growth plans, coaching, performance, and wellbeing, to a high bar, with no surprises at review time.

  • Own delivery and technical direction. Partner with the tech leads on architecture, and hold the standard for how the teams design, review, and ship across two quite different technical domains.

  • Hire and raise the bar. Fill the open seats using our High-Agency & AI-Native question bank and a live AI build stage, and build a team that stays strong as it grows.

  • Drive an AI-native operating rhythm. Engineers using Claude Code and agentic tooling hard, with tighter discovery-to-build-to-review loops, and you modelling it in how you run the teams.

  • Own the operational backbone. On-call health, incident practice, and clear, proactive communication when things go wrong, so reliability is a habit rather than a fire drill.

What we're looking for

  • Engineering management at depth. You've managed engineers building and running production systems, and you can speak to the teams you've grown, the delivery you've owned, and the performance calls you've made.

  • Technical range across both domains. You needn't be the deepest expert in either, but you hold your own with senior engineers on both sides: integration and API design, identity and SSO, and third-party systems on the CTI side; reliability, observability, incident response, and SLOs on the S&O side. You can steer a design review, challenge an estimate, and make a sensible build-versus-buy or sequencing call. This isn't a hands-on coding seat, but it is an engineering one.

  • Delivery through ambiguity. You've kept teams shipping when the structure wasn't fixed, and can talk to how you balanced pace, quality, and people.

  • You grow people. Engineers you've coached, mentored, or levelled up, and a real preference for people leadership as the job.

  • AI-native by default. You work with AI tooling day to day and expect your engineers to, and you can tell AI-assisted speed from AI-shaped slop.

What we offer

Pre-IPO equity with runway to vest before a potential exit. An AI-native engineering environment built around tools like Claude Code. And dynamic re-teaming: you accumulate breadth across missions rather than depth in one fixed lane, and your development travels with you through every team change. Because this mandate is first-of-its-kind, you're defining how engineering management works here, not stepping into someone else's template.

Not for you if

You want to stay predominantly hands-on in the code (we value and pay the engineering track equally), or you see management as a stepping stone rather than the work itself.
