Job Description
Reporting to our Analytics Director, you will create impact in the Analytics Team, within our Martech Capability. We take pride in our work with some of the largest advertisers in APAC, setting us apart in the industry.
The Senior Analytics Manager owns the measurement approach across a set of enterprise accounts. You are the person the team escalates to, and the person clients ask for when the question is hard. You still build, but your value is in the design, the standard you hold others to, and the people you bring up behind you.
At Jellyfish, we are committed to promoting professional growth. Your career path could lead to becoming the global subject matter expert for the latest advanced technical solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Technical consulting and subject matter expertise
Own the measurement conversation with senior client stakeholders across your accounts. Shape the brief before it becomes a brief, and connect measurement decisions to the commercial outcome the client is chasing.
Be the escalation point in market for the hardest technical questions, and the person who says no to a solution that will not hold.
Set the point of view the team takes to clients on platforms, privacy and AI, and keep it current as those change.
Solution design and technical standards
Own solution design across your accounts: measurement architecture, data layer standards, event taxonomy and naming, and the decisions your Managers escalate to you.
Review other people's builds before they ship. Set the QA bar, the documentation standard and the tracking spec format, and hold the team to them.
Lead complex and global engagements end to end, including migrations and replatforms, and be accountable when they land.
Tag management
Lead server side GTM migrations: container design, hosting on Google Cloud, Cloudflare or a managed provider, and event transport into conversion APIs such as Meta Conversions API, Google enhanced conversions and TikTok Events API. Own latency, payload design and running cost as design constraints, not afterthoughts.
Resolve the debugging nobody else can, across client side and server side containers.
Own tagging governance across your accounts: workspace and versioning discipline, shared template libraries, and patterns that get reused rather than rebuilt.
SQL and analysis
Strong SQL. Design the warehouse models and reporting datasets your accounts run on, and review the queries behind any number that goes to a client.
Turn analysis into a recommendation a senior marketer will act on, and be clear about how much confidence it deserves.
Modern measurement
Recommend and scope the right measurement approach for a client question, across platform attribution, incrementality and holdout testing, geo testing, causal impact analysis and marketing mix modelling.
Design and run incrementality and geo tests, and brief the specialists who build the models on what the model needs from your data.
Interrogate results before a client sees them. Know where a method breaks down and say so.
Media reporting
Set the reporting standard across your accounts: campaign taxonomy, metric definitions, and reporting frameworks that get reused rather than rebuilt per client.
Own the media data pipeline into the warehouse using tools such as Funnel, and the quality of what comes out of it.
Identity, consent and privacy
Own the first party identity and consent approach on your accounts, including user ID strategy, hashed email matching, consent mode and CMP configuration.
Work with client privacy and legal teams, design measurement that survives a privacy review, and be honest with clients about what signal loss costs them.
AI in delivery and measurement
Set the standard for how the team uses AI in delivery, including what may be automated, what must be reviewed, and which tools client data may enter.
Own the measurement response to automated and agentic buying: signal quality, conversion value accuracy, deduplication, and the first party data that makes value based bidding work.
Own the approach to AI search and assistant driven discovery on your accounts, including how brand visibility in AI generated answers is measured and reported using our proprietary measurement, and how that sits alongside conventional analytics.
Judge where an AI generated insight stops being reliable, and make sure nobody on your team presents one that has not been checked.
Training and team development
Design and run training for clients based on what they have asked for, pitched at the seniority of the room, and write the documentation and how to guides that go with it.
Train the wider team where a skills gap shows up, and work with the Analytics Director to agree where those gaps are and what to prioritise.
Coach and mentor Managers and Executives so they progressively take on more complex work, and give feedback that is specific enough to act on.
Build documentation that makes the knowledge outlast the person who has it.
Commercial and growth
Own renewals across your accounts, including GA360 licences, and protect quality when commercial pressure builds.
Scope and estimate work, and support Growth on pitches and new business, including the technical narrative and the measurement approach.
Identify opportunities to grow the web and app analytics business in market, and make the case for them.
Qualifications
Deep GA4 expertise, covering property architecture, event design, debugging and the limits of the platform.
Expert client side GTM, and demonstrable experience leading server side GTM implementations or migrations, including conversion API integrations.
Strong SQL in BigQuery or an equivalent warehouse, with experience designing the data models behind client reporting. Reporting built in Looker Studio, Looker, Power BI or Tableau.
Practical experience specifying or running incrementality, geo or holdout tests, and working knowledge of marketing mix modelling and causal inference. You do not need to have built the models, but you need to know what they require and where they fail.
Experience with a media data aggregation platform such as Funnel or an equivalent, and with setting campaign taxonomy standards across the major paid media platforms.
Confident in JavaScript and HTML for tagging, debugging and data layer work, and experience with APIs and mobile app tracking.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
Experience owning consent mode, a consent management platform and first party identity design, and comfortable in a conversation with a client privacy or legal team.
A clear view on AI in measurement, covering its use in delivery, its effect on media buying, and how to measure assistant driven discovery.
Experience mentoring or line managing analysts, and evidence that people have grown under you.
Credible with senior client stakeholders, and comfortable in scoping, pitching and difficult commercial conversations.
Nice to have
Working experience of an analytics platform other than GA4, such as Adobe Analytics, Piwik Pro or a product analytics tool.
Experience with a mobile measurement partner such as AppsFlyer, Adjust or Branch, covering SDK implementation, attribution setup, deep linking and the platform attribution frameworks.
Experience working across markets or on global accounts.
Note: We emphasise skills, expertise and behavioural attributes over years of experience and traditional degrees. If you want to join our collaborative team, we invite you to apply today with your resume in English.
