Texas A&M's IT Security and Risk department is hiring Security Analysts each with a specific focus depending upon the teams mission as described below. You will have an opportunity to tell us more about which team you would be most interested in and why!
What we want
We are recruiting for all levels of Security Analysts and our immediate needs are for Security Analysts I, II and Ill positions.
Minimum qualifications for an Security Analysts l: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and four months of related experience.
Minimum qualifications for an Security Analysts II: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and three full years of related experience.
Minimum qualification for an Security Analysts lll: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and five full years of related experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
a blend of hands-on technical expertise, knowledge of security frameworks and policies, and analytical thinking.
Soft skills like communication, collaboration, and the ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences are also key for this role.
*Compensation and classification is based on the analyses of the above qualifications during the recruitment process.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting, client relations, and the Information Technology Interface Library (ITIL).
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Other Requirements and Factors
This position is security sensitive.
This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures.
All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements.
Works to cover shifts, or take emergency call, on evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
