As a Sales Representative , you will be responsible for new business development in a highly productive, sales-driven environment. You will be responsible for supporting lead generation for our Sales Manager while working through a training program to further develop your sales skills. Working closely with the Sales Manager and sales team, this is the perfect opportunity for someone ready to take their sales career to the next level and truly develop within an organization.
In this position you will:
- Identify and qualify potential clients through consistent outbound prospecting, including phone calls, email outreach, networking, and other lead-generation activities.
- Conduct a minimum of 30 hours of prospecting each week to develop new business opportunities for the Sales Manager you support.
- Participate in a structured Sales Executive Development Program designed to prepare you to advance into a Sales Executive role.
- Partner closely with a Sales Manager to learn the complete sales process, from prospecting and qualifying opportunities through presentations, proposals, and closing new business.
- Shadow an experienced Sales Manager during client appointments, presentations, walkthroughs, and other sales activities to gain hands-on exposure to the sales process.
- Learn how to identify client needs, understand account requirements, communicate our service capabilities, overcome objections, and develop effective sales solutions.
- Gradually take on increased responsibility throughout the development program, including participating in client conversations, appointments, presentations, and other sales activities as training milestones are achieved.
- Utilize and manage our customer relationship management system (CRM) to accurately document prospecting activity, opportunities, client information, and follow-up.
- Develop the skills and sales pipeline necessary to successfully transition into an independent Sales Executive role upon completion of the program.
- Actively participate in sales training, coaching sessions, role-playing, and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain a positive and professional work atmosphere by communicating and collaborating effectively with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1 + years in a Business Development Role or Sales Associate Role
- Strong skill set for prospecting and developing a territory
- Experience in CRM systems to include strong data entry and organization of sales data
- Outgoing, dynamic personality
- Can-do attitude that loves to be challenged
- Organized and able to follow defined procedures in our sales process
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate team activities and work effectively with operations and marketing teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong MS Office
