Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Copado and Salesforce release management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing CI/CD pipelines, supporting release activities, and ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of Salesforce deployments across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute Salesforce deployments using Copado CI/CD pipelines.
- Oversee code promotion, release planning, and environment coordination across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, including validation failures, merge conflicts, and release blockers.
- Support application monitoring , including alert tracking, performance analysis, and proactive issue identification.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, Architecture, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth and successful release cycles.
- Drive automation initiatives and process improvements to enhance deployment efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain comprehensive deployment documentation, operational procedures, and release runbooks.
- Develop and execute structured Knowledge Transfer (KT) plans to ensure continuity of operations and sustainable support for deployment processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Deployment Success Rate: Percentage of successful deployments completed without rollback or critical defects.
- Release Timeliness: Adherence to committed release schedules and deployment windows.
- Pipeline Efficiency: Reduction in deployment lead time and manual intervention efforts.
- System Stability: Number and severity of production incidents attributable to releases.
- Continuous Improvement: Contributions to automation, process optimization, and deployment quality improvements.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintenance of accurate, up-to-date documentation and successful execution of knowledge transfer activities to support uninterrupted deployment operations.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Copado (Mandatory).
- Good understanding of the Salesforce Platform, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
- Experience in release management, deployment planning, and environment management.
Experience
5–10 Years
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in application support (L2/L3) or managed services environments.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
- Exposure to DevOps best practices, release governance, and change management processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.
