Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to manage the construction supervision of Tunnel SCADA/ITS deployment in Sharjah and will oversee daily construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards, manage resources, coordinate with contractors, and ensure project success from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Overseeing the daily activities and progress of construction to ensure successful execution.

• Managing and directing project teams, including Specialists, Engineers, Inspectors of Works, and Quantity Surveyors.

• Ensuring that all construction activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget while adhering to the quality standards.

• Coordinating and collaborating with contractors and other construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Reviewing and approving technical submittals, shop drawings, and other documentation.

• Managing Health & Safety and Environmental Protection standards during the construction.

• Handling project-related issues, mitigating risks, and providing proactive solutions to problems that may arise during construction.

• Monitoring and managing technical and financial proposals, as well as evaluating constructability and deployment of technology on-site.

• Ensuring effective communication among the project team and external stakeholders.

• Coordinate with Client/PMC, the Contractor and related concerned authorities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.

• Minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience, with at least 7 years in a managerial or technical lead role in large-scale infrastructure projects in UAE.

• The proposed Resident Engineer needs to interviewed by client and having more than 15 years of Globally and GCC experience in the tunnels project  including SCADA, MEP and Civil.

• Demonstrated experience in handling technical and financial proposals, evaluating constructability, technology deployment, and solving technical challenges during construction.

• Experience in managing Health & Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of deep underground structures and similar large-scale projects.

• Proven experience in managing Design & Build projects.

• Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with other construction projects in the vicinity and consult with statutory bodies for acquiring consents and licenses.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent technical writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms. Arabic language is an advantage

• Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of engineers and technical staff.

• Proactive problem-solving ability and capacity to manage work across multiple areas on-site.

• Computer skills are mandatory, with proficiency in relevant software tools for project management and construction tasks.

• Strong understanding of project risk management, with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks.

• Knowledge of local regulations (Sharjah / UAE) and the ability to navigate permitting processes.

• Ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate work across different project phases.

• Experience working on fast-track projects and managing complex, high-pressure timelines.

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and provide innovative solutions in a timely manner.
